10 Things Rookies Don't Know About Walt Disney World

Victoria and Albert

1. Disney World’s not just for kids?

Disney World is undeniably one of the most kid-friendly vacation spots, but it is by no means exclusively for kids. There’s so much for adults to enjoy around the different parks, resorts, and at nearby Disney Springs including several experiences that are not intended for children at all. Many of Disney’s extra touring experiences have age limits that restrict very young children from taking part in what may be too long, strenuous, or just not in their range of interest. You’ll also find upscale dining at many venues including Grand Floridian’s famed Victoria & Albert’s, which does not permit children under the age of 10 to dine there. For vibrant nightlife happenings just head for the Disney Springs district or for Disney’s Boardwalk Promenade. From professional spa services, golf outings, cocktails and drinks, and a host of recreational endeavors you can do as a couple or on your own, Disney World can be just as much fun for adults. Whoever said Disney World is just for kids doesn’t know Disney World very well at all.

There are always new developments emerging all around Disney World, so even if you don’t consider yourself a rookie per se, it’s always best to stay well informed and updated on all the major changes taking shape. While making plans in advance and getting a feel for the different parks is always the best way to prepare yourself, just remember that even the most equipped first-timers will be in for a couple of surprises. Most of these surprises, though, are pleasant ones that come with realizing Disney World is even better than you bargained for.
