2. What’s the story?
Prior to visiting, many rookies are unaware of the different backstories and theming around Disney World rides, attractions, and hotels. You won’t find “just a ride” but rather an intricately planned out experience that takes you along on a wonderfully themed adventure. Disney Imagineers work endlessly to bring forth such accurate, meticulous visions to the different park attractions through the careful incorporation of details and elaborate research that ensures absolute accuracy. One such example is the fact that Disney cast members even ventured as far as Nepal to obtain authentic artifacts and learn firsthand about yeti-lore and legends for Animal Kingdom’s famous Expedition Everest. Every Disney resort also follows suit in keeping an authentic, all-encompassing theme. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, for instance, even boasts an actual live Kukui Nut Tree—the official state tree of Hawaii, which stands just outside the Great Ceremonial House.
