10 Things Rookies Don't Know About Walt Disney World

Castle FastPass

3. What is “Rider Switch”, FastPass, etc.?

There are many tricks of the trade for rookies to know when pursuing the many different attractions to be found at Walt Disney World. For instance, if you are in a position where certain members of your party wish to embark on a particular ride that other members either do not want to attend or do not meet the height requirement for, Rider Switch is your best bet. This way everyone who wants to ride gets to ride, without having to get out of line and wait some more. For example, if you are a family of four and your youngest member is unable to ride, one parent and child can go first and then the other parent can ride next. Other fun tidbits to take note of include FastPass, which in short is a way to make reservations to enjoy an attraction at a slated timeslot with little or no wait time, and single rider lines that are available at select attractions.
