5. Taking a Backstage Tour
In addition to custom VIP services, Disney World offers a whole host of other exciting backstage touring possibilities to be had. And while such experiences are often doable, the questionability here lies in how often one can really take on such pursuits. We recommend you try at least one (or more) of these backstage tours in your lifetime. There’s plenty to choose from, like the iconic Keys to the Kingdom Tour of the Magic Kingdom—a famed favorite that lets you see the inner workings behind the scenes, as well as transcend into the depths of those legendary underground “Utilidors.” Other Magic Kingdom options include Disney’s Family Magic Tour, Disney’s The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour, and the Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour. Disney’s Epcot also has its fair share of exciting extras too, like the UnDISCOVERed Future World Tour and World Showcase: DestiNations Discovered being two such examples. There’s also the seven-hour Backstage Magic Tour to consider, which takes you on a multi-park experience that includes Epcot, the Magic Kingdom, and Disney’s Wilderness for an all-inclusive lunch at Whispering Canyon Café.
Disney also has plenty to please nature enthusiasts. The Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park for instance is an all-time popular pursuit, which allows you and your small group a chance to trek lesser-seen grasslands, experience various private access areas, get up close and personal with resident animals, ride along in a private safari vehicle, and much more. Another Animal Kingdom tour to take is Caring For Giants, which lets guests get a closer look at the resident African elephants and learn what it takes to care for them. In Epcot, such endeavors include the Behind the Seeds Tour in The Land Pavilion, as well as awesome aquatic pursuits at the Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion, like the Epcot Seas Adventures—Aqua Tour, DiveQuest, and Dolphins in Depth.
