You Should Absolutely Do This at Walt Disney World

Everyone you talk to about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation has tips, suggestions, and things you must do while visiting. If you go into your trip thinking that you must do it all, you will be highly overwhelmed, and it won’t feel magical.
It would be best if you weren’t stressed, so we will share those experiences that you should do while at Disney. This list should hopefully help narrow down your list and help bring some magic to your Walt Disney World vacation. For what everyone is telling you to ride, see and do. Instead, make sure you also do these essential things on your Walt Disney World vacation.

Eat the Ice Cream
Walt Disney World has stepped up in the treats department in the last few years, and we think you should enjoy these delicious treats while in the Parks and Resorts. We aren’t suggesting making yourself sick, but allow yourself to eat what you want when on vacation. Try not to worry about every single calorie or how much every Mickey pretzel costs. Instead, go into your vacation knowing you will want some treats, which will be okay.
Along the same lines, Walt Disney World is a great place to experience a fantastic meal if you want a fancy sit-down dinner. Even if you typically don’t go out to eat at home or spend money on table-service meals, if you wish to do so in Disney, we say do it. We don’t want you to look back at your vacation and wish you would have enjoyed Steakhouse 71 or had that Dole Whip in Magic Kingdom.

Be a Kid Again
It is 100% a necessity to act like a kid when you are in Walt Disney World. This was Walt Disney’s whole dream. To have a place where kids and parents could experience the fun together. It is okay to choose your favorite horse on the carousel or to get messy while eating a Mickey Bar. Walt Disney World is the perfect place to set the world aside and have fun in the magic of it all.
Take time to hug your favorite character or ride Dumbo a few times because it makes you happy. Take time to not worry about being an adult and enjoy the thrills of being a kid again.

Scream, Laugh, Cry
We think that you should scream out loud while in Walt Disney World. Toss those hands up in the air and scream like you just don’t care! As you experience some of the thrill rides offered in each of the four Theme Parks, allow yourself to have fun and scream along with everyone else. You should scream away as you shoot backward on Expedition Everest or drop in on the Tower of Terror!
Allow yourself to cry those tears as well. Disney is truly a magical place, and it is entirely okay to be overtaken by emotions during your vacation.
It might be just walking down Magic Kingdom after years of saving money to make a vacation happen. You might cry when you see your favorite character for the first time. Crying often occurs during magical evening shows as they bring the music, characters, fireworks, and projections together to make one fantastic experience. Allow yourself to feel all the emotions during your Walt Disney World vacation.
Don’t just scream and cry during your trip, but also take time to laugh. These are magical moments, and you won’t want to forget the joy and excitement you experience.
Skip the Park
We know that most of us head to Walt Disney World on vacation to experience the Theme Parks, but it is okay to avoid visiting a Theme Park each day of your vacation. Take time during your vacation to Walt Disney World to have an actual vacation. Sit by the pool, relax in the room, and watch a movie. You don’t have to be in the Theme Parks every minute of the day. Dedicate some time during your vacation for relaxation, and you won’t be sorry.

Adjust Your Plans
If you are going with teens or adults, allow yourself some change in your routine. By this, we mean let yourself sleep in late and stay out late even if it isn’t your routine. Sometimes a vacation is a great time to allow yourself to go with the flow of the moments.
Don’t feel like you have to stick to your routine on vacation. Allow yourself some flexibility to make changes as you go and sleep in if you want to.
Browse the Shops
Even if you aren’t a big shopper, we think you should take time to walk through a few shops while in Walt Disney World. You can experience big shops such as the newly opened Creations Shop in EPCOT or the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. These stores are great for all things Disney and souvenir-like. Take time also to check out some specialty stores throughout the Theme Parks. There are some highly unique shops that you can enjoy walking around.
When planning a trip to Walt Disney World, there can be many things that everyone tells you are must-do experiences. Everyone has an opinion, from specific rides and shows to dining and snacks. We wanted to share a slightly different list of must-dos for your trip. We hope these will help you have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World.
