YAY! You're Going to Disney World for the First Time! Now What?

Castle FastPass

1. Reserve Your FastPasses, Like Right Now

In case you didn't know, Disney World has a system called FastPass+ that lets you reserve access to attractions in advance, thus allowing you to skip certain standby queues. Show up to a given ride at whichever time slot you've scheduled, scan your ticket or MagicBand, and you're in.

FastPasses can be scheduled up to 30 days in advance of your visit, unless you're staying at a Disney-owned hotel, in which case you can reserve them up to 60 days prior to check-in. There are other rules to keep in mind too — such as how many FastPasses you can schedule each day — so do your research.

There is a lot more that can go into planning a successful Disney World trip, but these seven to-do items should help you get on the right track.
