Thrilling Rides

Teens continue to enjoy Walt Disney World because there are great E-ticket rides that are thrilling, exciting, and well-themed. In each of the four Disney Parks, there are outstanding thrill rides that fearless teens will find fascinating.

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, teens will enjoy chasing down a Yeit on Expedition Everest, trying to catch a Dino on the scary Dinosaur, and soaring on the back of a Banshee with Avatar Flight of Passage.

Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, teens will find a lot of thrills as they take a trip on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, drop in on the Tower of Terror, take a journey with Slinky Dog, and another with Mickey and Minnie. Don’t forget Rise of the Resistance, one of the most immersive and outstanding rides built anywhere.

EPCOT and Magic Kingdom both received new thrilling attractions that teens will love. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON: Lightcyle/Run are two intense coasters that teens will want to ride multiple times.

Teens will also enjoy classics such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Soarin’ Around the World, and even Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that your teen won’t enjoy any of the rides at Walt Disney World. As you can see, there are tons to keep them excited.

Lots of Food

We all know teens enjoy food, and Disney has a lot of options to choose from when it comes to dining. Teens will love all the snacks, quick-service, and even table-service meals they can enjoy throughout the Parks and Resorts.

With the dining plan coming back, this is an excellent way for teens to have some freedom when it comes to their dining. Use those credits for snacks and meals whenever they feel like it. This is also an excellent place for teens to try some new options. EPCOT provides terrific cuisine from around the world. Enjoy some festival booths to get your teens to enjoy something new.

My Disney Experience App

Technology Fun

Although we strive to get, our kids to put their phones away while in Walt Disney World, it is also clear that technology is becoming a part of the Disney experience.

Get teens on the My Disney Experience app because they will be able to navigate it like a pro. Teens will love searching for those following Genie+ options, watching wait times, and navigating Mobile Orders.

In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, teens become pros at using their datapads throughout Batuu and being able to interact with the new world quickly. The Play Disney app is another great app for teens to have on their phones, as they can use it while waiting in line.

It is a fun way for the whole family to play games together and learn Disney trivia. Teens will quickly be experts on the technology needed on a Disney vacation.

Family Time

Disney is a time for teens and adults to escape the “real world” and enjoy the magic. At Walt Disney World, teens can enjoy being with their families without rushing to a practice or an activity.

Disney is where families can slow down and enjoy just being together. It might be waiting in line together, having a meal, or watching a show, Disney vacations become a place where families can have a memorable time together, and teens appreciate that more than they show.

Parents Become Kids Again

They might not admit it out loud, but teens enjoy Disney because it allows their parents to become kids once again. Seeing their parents and other adults in the family laugh, scream, and giggle like kids once again is all part of Disney’s magic. Teens will enjoy seeing their family members being able to step away from adulting for a while and enjoy being in fun. Where else can family members fly around in a flying elephant together?

Some Freedom

Another aspect of Walt Disney World that teens love is the fact that they also get some freedom and independence here. As teens get older, they can experience some of Disney independently.

For many families, this is a great place to allow their teens more freedom. They can ride some rides independently or even use Disney transportation to head to a Park or Resort. Teens will significantly appreciate this ability to have a little freedom.

We know that Walt Disney World is considered a place for kids. Many of us have enjoyed taking our little ones to Walt Disney World because it is an excellent place for them; however, it is also a great place for teens. As teens grow up, they will continue to enjoy and appreciate the magic of Walt Disney World. Keep planning those trips with your teens so you can experience that magic with them.
