3. Phase closures

Around the week of Christmas and leading into New Year’s, Magic Kingdom, and sometimes Epcot, tends to experience phase closures. This means that they will begin limiting who is allowed to enter the park as it nears capacity. Usually anyone holding a one-day ticket is the first to be turned away and annual passholder’s and resort guests are among the last. This tends to happen on Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, but truly can happen at any point during that week.
