Port Orleans Riverside tops our list of Disney moderate resorts. This is one of our favorite resorts on property, with its sprawling grounds, beautiful landscaping, and antebellum styled buildings. The food court and pools are second to none in this category. There’s also a full-service restaurant called Boatwrights. The rooms are well-appointed and spacious for a moderate resort, with a comfortable yet elegant interior. This resort is in the Disney Springs area, and you can take a water taxi over to Disney Springs to shop and eat as well. There are four bus stops, making transportation easily accessible from any building. It’s just relaxing to walk around this resort. It feels like you have been transported to the Deep South. Overall, this resort tops our list because of its laid-back charm and Southern appeal, as well as accessibility to Disney Springs.
Every Disney resort has its own brand of magic, and it is hard to even start ranking them. We love them all for different reasons, and one of the best parts of Walt Disney World is that you can go multiple times, stay at different resorts and have a completely different vacation each time.
