4. Fort Wilderness
Fort Wilderness should be in a category all it’s own! It offers campsites and cabins for those who want a very unique experience during their Disney stay. The cabins are bigger than moderate resort rooms, and sleep six if your family is a little larger. They also feature a full kitchen which can be a big plus if you’re on a budget or enjoy cooking your own meals. You’ll also find plenty of things to do here when you aren’t at the parks -horseback riding, bike rentals, petting farm, hay rides, and a nightly campfire with Chip & Dale. The dining options here are incredible, with Trails End buffet, Hoop De Doo Revue for a dinner show, and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ with character appearances. This is really a fun resort with lots of things to offer every family. However, we’ve ranked it #4 due to the cost of renting a cabin, which is more akin to deluxe rates. Campsites are much more reasonable.
