Walt Disney World Vocabulary 101 – The Terms to Know Before You Go!

18. Advanced Dining Reservation (ADRs)

This term refers to dining reservations that guests make before arriving at a particular restaurant.  Based on the number and popularity of the restaurants in Disney World, ADRs are strongly recommended.  Guests planning their trips far in advance can begin making their ADRs beginning 180 days prior to checking into their resorts.  ADRs can be made using the MyDisneyExperience app or by calling Disney directly.

17. Extra Magic Hours

This term refers to special time that is set aside for guests to spend in the parks prior to their official opening time or after its closing time.  Extra Magic Hours are only available to guests who are staying on property at any of the Disney resorts.  The amount of time and parks participating vary based on the day and the season you visit, so be sure to consult the app when making plans!
