2. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort-Magic Kingdom
Like the Contemporary, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of the original hotels to open on Disney World property back in 1971. Also within close range to the Magic Kingdom, guests staying at this South Pacific-inspired resort can enjoy easy access to the park two ways—via monorail or ferryboat. The monorail loop runs just outside the resort’s upper level in the Great Ceremonial House. The outside boat dock is where you catch the boat for a leisurely ride across Seven Seas Lagoon to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance. Take in breathtaking views of the castle along the way—the same views you will also enjoy from the resort’s beach, which is an ideal spot for watching fireworks and the nightly Electrical Water Pageant. Boat arrivals and departures tend to keep consistent 15-30 minute interval patterns.
