2. Miss Fortune Falls at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
Announced earlier this year, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be getting a brand new attraction next March. Titled ‘Miss Fortune Falls,’ this family-style raft ride will take guests on a journey through Captain Mary Oceanear’s past. This fictional, treasure-hunting parrot is said to have traveled across the sea collecting unique artifacts until she became stranded at Typhoon Lagoon due to a storm. On this two-minute journey, guests will have the opportunity to see all of the artifacts Captain Oceanear gathered during her travels while staying cool in the Florida heat. This will be one of the longest attractions between both Disney water parks and is sure to be a fun experience. When Typhoon Lagoon closes for refurbishment at the end of the year, I’m sure we’ll see a number of construction updates, as the opening date gets closer. I’m so excited that Typhoon Lagoon is finally getting another attraction that you can ride on with more than just one person, and it sounds like it’s going to be a ton of fun, too!
