Top 15 Rides and Attractions for Walt Disney World-Goers with Autism

Animal Kingdom Elephants

1. Kilimanjaro Safaris (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)

If your child with Autism is not bothered by a bumpy ride, you’re sure to enjoy this ride through the savanna, where you can encounter giraffes, see hippos play in the water, watch elephants wander through the grass and see lions (if you go later in the evening) from afar, resting on the rocks. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see animals of all kinds roaming freely.

Each child with Autism is different, and you are the expert on your child. You may find that your child enjoys a ride or attraction not listed here, or he or she may not like one listed here. Let your child guide you. Watch for his or her cues about his or her preferences, and always keep in mind that you’re at Disney World, so no matter how you choose to spend your time, have fun do it!
