Seven Essential Items To Solve Issues During a Disney Trip

When heading to Walt Disney World, you probably spend time reading and planning like you never have for a vacation. Figuring out where to stay, where to eat, how to tour the Parks, and so much more is a lot to figure out.

Even with all those planning steps, things can still go wrong during a Disney vacation. To help you navigate some of those issues, we have seven items that you will want to bring along with you. We have learned that these items are essential to overcoming some of the most common issues during a Walt Disney World vacation.

Let’s look at those seven times so you can prepare.

Portable Charger

A dead phone is one of the most significant issues that people run into during a Walt Disney World. Since My Disney Experience is essential to a successful trip, having a dead phone while in the Disney Parks can be a big deal.

Even if you leave your Disney Resort in the morning with a full battery, because of how much you use your phone throughout the day, you will notice that your phone battery dies faster than you anticipate.

Be prepared for this issue by bringing portable chargers for everyone. Double-check that everyone has a portable charger and cords for their phones before heading out for a day in Disney Park.

Having these with you lets everyone stay charged, connected, and happy.

Individual Fans

It can be super hot when waiting in line for a ride or for the parade to start. Having an individual portable fan can be a huge help. These can allow you to get air movement and keep yourself calm.

We have used a hand-held fan and one that goes around our neck and keeps our hands free. It depends on what is more comfortable for you.

If you are traveling with a stroller, make sure you have a fan that can connect to your stroll. This will allow you to attach it and keep those little ones cool.

Make sure you have rechargeable ones, so you don’t have to worry about bringing batteries to the Parks.

Blister Bandaids

No matter how much you broke in your shoes before Walt Disney World, chances are good that you will still end up with blisters. We just aren’t used to walking that many miles day to day and also in the heat.

You don’t have to deal with blister pain while navigating the Parks. Bring some blister bandaids to help you manage the areas causing problems.

We also suggest bringing extra shoes. This allows you to swap out shoes when they are causing problems and give your feet some relief.

Chaffing Stick

Along with blisters, you will probably also deal with chaffing while in Walt Disney World. With all the heat, humidity, and sweating that comes with it, areas are bound to rub.

Have a chaffing stick with you to combat these areas. It is incredible how much these sticks help and can save a trip. Toss the stick into your Disney Park bag, so you are ready when it begins to become uncomfortable.

Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is so essential when at Walt Disney World. There is so much walking. Combine that with that heat, your body needs lots of water.

Head down with a plan for staying hydrated. A great way to do this is by bringing your water bottle. You can fill these up around the Parks or get free ice water from select Disney quick service locations.

Having these with you can help you stay hydrated, which is key to having a good time.

Umbrella

Umbrella

Having an umbrella can be helpful in a few ways. It can help you stay dry during those rain storms. But the other way an umbrella can help during your Walt Disney World vacation is by providing coverage from the sun.

There are a lot of areas (looking at you, Toy Story Land) throughout the Disney Parks that don’t have a lot of coverage. An umbrella that you can quickly open and give yourself some coverage from those UV rays can bring immense relief.

There are even specific UV umbrellas if you want even more protection.

Sunscreen

Right like the umbrella protects from the sun, it is essential to have sunscreen with you during a Disney vacation. It doesn’t matter if it is sunny or cloudy. Take time to apply sunscreen throughout the day.

Most of us are good with sunscreen in the morning and sunny days. Make sure you also take time to reapply throughout the day and keep it on even during those cloudy days. The sun is intense in Florida, so ensuring you are protected is essential.

There are a lot of items that you can pack for your Walt Disney World vacation. Matching outfits, Minnie Ears, snacks, toys, and much more. We have learned over our many trips to the magic that these seven items are needed each trip.

By having these seven items packed, we are more prepared for those central issues that tend to arise during Disney trips. From battling the weather to navigating medical concerns and dead phones, seven simple items help make a trip to Walt Disney World much less stressful.

Don’t head to Walt Disney World without tossing in these seven items along with your fun items. Knowing you have them, even if they aren’t used, can make your trip smooth.
