6. Main St. USA And Parade Time!
It is now late afternoon, and you have just made a circle tour of the Magic Kingdom, so now it’s time to take in a few shops along Main Street, USA, and also visit some of the attractions that were missed earlier. The Main Street shops are filled with Disney souvenirs, clothing, toys, Mickey Ears, Disney ball caps, collectibles, magnificent jewelry and highly popular Dooney & Burke or Vera Bradley handbags and accessories. Take a leisurely stroll through all the shops and maybe even purchase those “gotta have it” items. There is a very handy service that will enable you to have your purchases sent to a designated location near the front entrance for convenient pickup as you exit the park, so you can pick them up on your way out. If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you can have your purchases sent to your room for later pickup. Usually around 3pm every day, you don’t want to miss the “Festival of Fantasy Parade”, and the best place to watch this magnificent parade is at the top of the stairs at the Main Street Walt Disney World Railroad Station. This afternoon parade is one of the most sensational parades Disney has produced. It is a magical mix of fabulous floats, colorful costumes, original music, and a cavalcade of Disney characters from your favorite Disney stories. This is a 25-minute long parade, so be sure to plan your next FastPass+ reservation accordingly.
