Magic Kingdom On The Cheap - 15 Ways To Save Big At Magic Kingdom

Halloween

15. Consider Skipping the “Hard Ticket” Parties

This one is bound to stir up some controversy. “Hard Ticket” parties refer to events at Magic Kingdom that require a separately purchased ticket to attend. These include Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. While some people love these parties and swear they are worth every penny, they are very expensive. Attendance for a family of four will cost over $300. Carefully research what is offered at each party and whether it is worth it to you to spend the extra money. For example, one of the highlights of the Halloween Party is seeing unusual characters (especially villains). My kids are not particularly interested in meeting characters, so this wouldn’t be a benefit for us. I’m not saying don’t go; just don’t assume that these parties are a “must do” for everyone.

These are a few ways that my family has saved money on our trips to Magic Kingdom, and while they may not seem like a lot, over the course of a vacation is really adds up! You can be kind to your budget without sacrificing any of the fun of a Disney World vacation.
