4. A princess must perfect the flawless autograph.
As part of her training, a young lady who is chosen to portray a Disney princess will learn Disney’s way of signing her princess name. But since Disney’s expectation is that every autograph looks identical, no matter who is signing it, she will do well to practice her autograph. For example, no matter how many young ladies play the role of Belle at Disney—whether at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT or Hollywood Studios—the way they write “Belle” in a Guest’s autograph book must look identical. This adds to the princess’s authenticity and believability. Each time a princess in the parks is asked for an autograph, she is expected to write it in the same way as every other young lady who is portraying that princess.
