Disney Transportation 101 - 7 Ways to Get Around at Disney World Resort

For most people, driving while on vacation is a drag. After all, the majority of people drive every single day at home, and it can really become quite the chore after a while. This is especially true for those who have a long commute or live in a city with bad rush-hour traffic.

Fortunately, Disney understands that we all want a break from the little day-to-day chores. Therefore, they provide their guests with plenty of transportation options. This means that as soon as you arrive on Disney property, you can choose to leave your car behind and escape into the “Disney bubble” without a care in the world.

Wondering what your choices will be for getting around during your Disney vacation? Here are the seven most popular options.

7. Buses

Buses are the most prevalent transportation option at Disney World. They are available at every single resort and transport guests to all four of the main parks, the two water parks, and Disney Springs.

According to Disney, a new bus will arrive at each stop every 20 minutes to pick guests up. However, we have observed that this is not always the case. Therefore, be prepared to wait a bit longer if need be.

The buses are clean and air conditioned, and though they do become overly full at times, I'm always impressed by how many people one bus can hold.
