Dining at the Port Orleans Resorts

Let's Recap!

5. Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (Port Orleans French Quarter)

The quick service dining option at French Quarter, guests are able to get a variety of Southern, creole, and cajun inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  At breakfast, in addition to a variety of pancakes, guests can sample a fried chicken biscuit with maple bacon jam, a Cajun grit bowl served with shrimp, a breakfast po’boy, and the best breakfast choice of them all — a Mickey shaped beignet!  During lunch and dinner, guests will find various burgers and sandwiches, jambalaya, a rice bowl, shrimp and grits, as well as gumbo.  This is a great choice for a quick meal before heading to the parks or after a day in the park before hitting the pool to cool off!

4. River Roost Lounge (Port Orleans Riverside)

One of our favorite lounges on property, the River Roost Lounge is open daily and features entertainment from Yeehaw Bob most evenings.  In addition to a relaxed atmosphere (guests can sit at the bar, at a table, or couches and armchairs throughout the space), guests can enjoy amazing cocktails and an assortment of beers, as well as some inventive bar food to curb your cravings before a delicious dinner!

3. Riverside Mill Food Court (Port Orleans Riverside)

Another quick service dining option at Riverside, the Riverside Mill Food Court is open to guests for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  In addition to traditional breakfast offerings, guests can also find breakfast sandwiches, flatbreads, and biscuits and gravy.  At lunch and dinner, guests are certainly going to want to save room for a variety of desserts — cakes, cookies, cobblers, and pies all await guests.  Before dessert, guests may want to try a variety of Southern-inspired burgers or sandwiches.  These culinary creations are sure to leave you with a happy stomach!

2. Scat Cat’s Club (Port Orleans French Quarter)

Another relaxed lounge is also available to guests at Port Orleans French Quarter.  Guests can relax and enjoy a refreshing cocktail, but also some appetizing bar bites:  bayou brisket sliders, chicken and waffles, crawfish etouffee, mac and cheese, and crab dip.  With so many great options, guests may just want to fill up on these menu items and skip a full-fledged dinner!

1. Boatwright’s Dining Hall (Port Orleans Riverside)

The sole table service option for guests at either resort, Boatwright’s Dining Hall is open every evening for dinner.  Guests will find a whole bunch of options to satisfy their cravings — shrimp, crawfish, oysters, as well as other entrees — catfish, jambalaya, Nashville hot chicken, steak, shrimp and grits, as well as delicious, fall-off-the-bone ribs. Guests will also want to save some room for some dessert here, too!

Have you dined at any of these options at the Port Orleans resorts?  What is your favorite dining location?
