Could Disney Make These Changes?

Although we love all things, Disney, we do think that sometimes rides, shows, restaurants, and entertainment need to be updated.  One thing we appreciate about the Disney Company overall is that it is always looking at ways to make our experience even better.

We thought it would be fun to look at some experiences that we would change if Disney asked us our opinion (although they won’t).  Take a look at our opinion and see if you would make these changes as well.

Magic Kingdom

The iconic Walt Disney World Park has been around since the beginning, but what could use an update?

One ride that we would like to have Disney update or change or even remove (sorry but it is true) is the Tomorrowland Speedway.  These cars were supposed to be a look at the future; however, it is now a look into the past.  Could these cars be updated to feature eclectic cars?

It is fun to drive around during the holidays as there is an amazing overlay.  Could we see some sort of overlay permanently?  This could be Wreck-it, Ralph.  Who wouldn’t want to drive around in a fun, themed cars like Venelope?  It could also be a way to bring in Cars into Magic Kingdom.

There is a lot that could be done in this area to get rid of the exhaust, heat, and slow (and sometimes frustrating) ride.

Although we don’t have anything against this ride, we just feel like it doesn’t fit.  This classic spinner ride seems to be right in the middle of a busy walkway.  If it was removed, we feel like it would completely change the feel of Adventureland.

Removing this ride, it would provide a lot more room for Guests to navigate throughout the land.  It would make it easier to get to popular rides like Pirates of the Caribbean as well as to get those Dole Whips at Sunshine Seasons.

Sorry Carpet, but we just don’t want you in the middle of the walkway anymore.

Dinoland Boneyard

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Recently at the D23 Expo, Disney mentioned making a major change to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  This change focused on reimagining Dinoland USA.  We would have to agree that this area needs to see some upgrades.  Following the removal of Primeval Whirl, there is a major gap left in this land.

We would like to see this whole land rethemed.  Although we aren’t sure we agree with Moana which was mentioned at D23, we would love to see something like Zootopia take over.  Dinosaur isn’t one that we are a fan of and feel like it could use a lot of updates.  In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we hope that we will see a big overhaul of Dinoland in the coming years.

EPCOT

If there is one Disney Park that is going through a lot of changes it is EPCOT.  We have seen the addition of two new rides in Remy’s Ratotoulie Adventure as well as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind as well as new dining options in Space 220 and Connections Cafe & Eatery all coming to EPCOT these last few years.

Even with these new additions, there are still a few changes that we would make.  The first one we would change is Journey Into Imagination with Figment.  We know many love Figment, but this ride needs some major upgrades.  We aren’t saying that Figment himself needs to be removed, but could his ride find some new love?  The overall ride concept is neat, but the overall storyline needs some adjustments to keep the newer generations involved.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It might be hard to imagine that there are pieces in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that we think need updating.  It seems like Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge just opened.  Even with it being newer, there are pieces that could use some refreshing.

Alien Swirling Saucers:  Toy Story Land

We realize that this ride is meant to be a filler attraction while Guests wait for Slinky Dog Dash or Toy Story Mania.  Even with knowing that, we think this area in Toy Story Land could be used more effectively for Guests.  This area of Disney Park really needs some shade and seating.  We think providing Guests with nice seating, an indoor area would be greatly appreciated.

Muppet Vision 3D- Grand Avenue

We all love the Muppets, but their poor show needs a major update.  The visuals that once were top-notch are now old and outdated.  We love having Kermit and friends in the Park, but they need a new, updated show.  There is so much that they could do with this show to add some new technology and bring the excitement back once again.

Rock n Roller Coaster- Sunset Boulevard

This change isn’t one where want to see the actual ride changed, but more of the theme.  We love the coaster, but would really like an update to the overall theme of the ride.  If we could get a new band or even a new IP (movie) theme that would be a good update to the ride.

The overall coater is fantastic, but let’s get ready to rock with someone other than Aerosmith.

We love Walt Disney World, but sometimes the things we love we need to update and refresh.  These are just some of the experiences in the four Walt Disney World Parks that we would like to see changed in some way.  Do you agree with our choices?  Would you have picked other experiences to change?
