Disney World Confirms Multiple Entertainment Cancellations Starting November 10

Magic Kingdom visitors have another important date to keep in mind as Walt Disney World prepares for its busy holiday season.

While November brings festive decorations, seasonal entertainment, and special celebrations, it also means certain experiences won’t always operate according to their normal schedules.

Disney has confirmed that several popular entertainment offerings will be affected by an upcoming event, leaving some guests with fewer opportunities to enjoy their favorite performances.

The adjustments will only last two days, but families planning their visits around parades and stage shows should prepare accordingly.

Disney World Will Temporarily Change Its Entertainment Lineup

Magic Kingdom will welcome television production crews on November 10 and 11 as Disney films material for ABC’s upcoming Christmas specials.

Because filming will take place around some of the park’s busiest entertainment locations, Disney has modified several performance schedules.

The most noticeable change involves the Festival of Fantasy Parade.

The popular daytime parade has been removed from the schedule for both days, meaning guests hoping to see its familiar floats and Disney characters will need to visit another date.

However, Disney has arranged a holiday replacement.

The Christmas procession typically appears during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party until later in December.

That means regular daytime visitors will have a rare opportunity to enjoy the seasonal parade without purchasing admission to the separately ticketed celebration.

Still, that special opportunity comes alongside several entertainment reductions.

More Magic Kingdom Performances Will Be Affected

Guests hoping to watch Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire should plan carefully.

The Cinderella Castle stage show will offer only two performances on November 10, scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and noon.

On November 11, the show will return with four scheduled performances throughout the day.

Main Street, U.S.A. will also experience changes.

The Dapper Dans won’t have any performances listed for November 10, although the quartet will return with six scheduled appearances on November 11.

The Casey’s Corner Pianist will perform three times on November 10 and six times the following day, rather than the usual seven daily sets.

Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will also disappear from the November 10 schedule before returning at 11:05 a.m. on November 11.

Although these aren’t permanent cancellations, the reduced schedules could disappoint guests who enjoy Magic Kingdom’s smaller entertainment experiences.

Disney’s Evening Shows Are Expected to Remain Available

Fortunately, the entertainment changes shouldn’t interfere with Magic Kingdom’s major nighttime offerings.

Frozen Holiday Surprise is scheduled for 6:15 p.m., followed by Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away at 6:45 p.m.

Happily Ever After fireworks will take place at 8 p.m., and Disney Starlight will return for another performance at 9 p.m.

These times currently apply to both November 10 and 11.

The television production will help create Disney’s upcoming holiday programming, including The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular, airing November 30, and the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, scheduled for December 25.

Disney guests should remember that entertainment schedules can change, particularly when filming is involved.

Checking My Disney Experience before arriving and throughout the day will help families avoid unexpected surprises.

Ultimately, the two-day filming event will temporarily change how visitors experience Magic Kingdom, but it will also bring an early opportunity to enjoy some of Disney’s most popular Christmas entertainment.
