Family Attorney Comes Forward Regarding Inquiry Into Death at Magic Kingdom in April

A grieving family’s attorney recently released a statement about a death at Magic Kingdom Park that quietly surfaced in public records weeks after the fact.

The incident dates to April 24, 2026, when law enforcement responded to a “dead person” call at Magic Kingdom Park at 11:46 a.m. The response never appeared in the real-time public scanner feed due to what scanner monitoring outlet WDWActiveCrime described as a feed outage that caused 64 emergency calls in the Walt Disney World Resort area to go untracked over an approximately 24-hour window.

The death only became known publicly after WDWActiveCrime requested records tied to the outage period and shared the finding on X (formerly known as Twitter):

April now includes a Dead Person call for Magic Kingdom.

The call was logged to 1460 Magic Kingdom Dr, Bay Lake — the generalized address law enforcement uses to track calls at Magic Kingdom Park. The precise location within the park where the incident occurred remains unconfirmed, as does the identity of the individual who passed away.

Disney Dining first reported on the death in late May, at which point no family members or legal representatives had come forward publicly.

That changed on July 7, when Rose Mary Parham of Parham Law Firm, LLC, confirmed to Disney Fanatic that her firm is representing the family of the deceased Magic Kingdom Park guest. Her statement read in full:

“Our firm represents the family of the deceased. This was a heartbreaking loss, and the family deserves a full, fair, and transparent investigation into every aspect of the events surrounding their loved one’s death. We look forward to obtaining all of the relevant facts and ensuring that every aspect of this tragedy is thoroughly examined. Out of respect for the family and the ongoing investigation, we will have no further comment at this time.”

Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any comment on the April 24 death or the family’s legal representation. Disney Dining will continue to report on this story as new information becomes available.

Our team sends its thoughts to everyone impacted by the tragic incident at Magic Kingdom Park in April.
