Disney Confirm Imminent Plans To Change Flo’s V8 Cafe in Cars Land

Disney is changing the menu at one iconic eatery, continuing a series of incremental dining updates across its U.S. parks.

In recent years, Disney has quietly adjusted menus across its parks, particularly at high-traffic counter-service restaurants.

The focus has shifted toward broader choice, updated ingredients, and expanded beverage programs – although not all of these updates have gone down well with customers, such as the decision to switch Harambe Market from an eatery with African-inspired flavors to a classic burgers-and-fries joint.

Specialty drinks have become a notable priority. Coffee, in particular, has grown well beyond a basic offering, as seen across Disneyland Resort in recent seasons. That emphasis is now reaching deeper into individual lands.

One of the latest updates arrives at a familiar Cars Land dining location.

Flo’s V8 Cafe Prepares for Menu Changes

At Disney California Adventure, Flo’s V8 Cafe has long served as a reliable quick-service option in Cars Land. Positioned along the main walkway and overlooking Radiator Springs Racers, the restaurant handles a steady flow of guests throughout the day.

The venue is styled after a Route 66 diner, with neon signage, automotive details, and large seating areas designed to absorb crowds efficiently.

Disney describes the cafe on its website as “nostalgic and novel at the same time” with decor that “put[s] you inside the Pixar movies while transporting you to a simpler time, from vintage-style gas pumps to tailpipe light fixtures to 2-toned tuck-and-roll upholstered banquettes!”

Despite its popularity, the menu itself has changed little over the years, relying on familiar American comfort food and a relatively limited selection.

That is set to change beginning later this month.

New Menu Items Roll Out January 20

Now, Disney is revamping the restaurant’s menu, rolling out a slate of new food and drink items beginning January 20. The update replaces several existing offerings and expands the menu across entrées, sides, kids’ meals, and beverages.

New food additions include the Big Dipper Cheeseburger with pepperoncini cheese sauce and the Winner’s Circle Chicken and Waffle. Two versions of Fillmore Groovy Greens are also being added, one plant-based and one topped with crispy chicken fenders.

Additional items include the Ka-Cheeseburger, Tuned-Up Chicken Fenders tossed in sauce, Fast Track Loaded Fries, and a Cup of Chili served with cone-shaped cornbread.

The menu also expands dining experiences for younger guests. New kids’ meals include Mack’s Mac & Cheese and a Micro Burger served with fruit and vegetables. Mini Buckwheat Waffles are also being introduced.

Beverages are receiving a notable refresh. New non-alcoholic drinks include Start Your Engine Cold Brew, Stop Sign Cream Soda Pop, and a standard cold brew, alongside Flo’s Classic Shakes.

Alcohol selections are changing as well. The updated list includes Brewery X Fender Bender IPA, Pacifico Cerveza Clara, and a Seaborn Passion Guava Margarita.

These items replace a more limited existing menu that included a plated meal with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, the Race Day Salad, a pastrami sandwich on rye, and the previous Ka-Cheeseburger with 1000 Island dressing.

Alcohol offerings currently available — Brewery X Fender Bender IPA, Noble Ale Works Pink Lemonade Seltzer, and Seaborn margaritas in Cranberry-Blood Orange and Pineapple Habanero — will also be phased out.

What do you think of the new Flo’s V8 Cafe menu?
