A big new update has dropped for Magic Kingdom.

The Beak and Barrel is now open at Magic Kingdom. The much-anticipated bar and lounge, themed around Disney’s beloved Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, officially opened its doors on August 29.
Visitors were greeted with festive decorations and an atmosphere buzzing with the spirit of adventure.
In a heartfelt speech during the ceremony, Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle expressed his enthusiasm for the new addition to Adventureland.
“Ahoy! Three cheers for the opening crew of The Beak and Barrel. We are so proud of the teams who helped create an incredible immersive experience fit for a pirate.” Vahle’s words reflected the excitement surrounding this new chapter in the Magic Kingdom’s history and the dedication shown by everyone involved in bringing this experience to fruition.
Pirate-Themed Food and Drinks
The menu at The Beak and Barrel features an array of unique cocktails and treats, all creatively aligned with the pirate theme. Highlights include a standout beverage served in a whimsical souvenir skull cup—a delightful nod to the playful aesthetics of pirate lore. Each item on the menu is designed not only to satisfy hunger but also to enhance the ambiance, making guests feel like swashbuckling adventurers themselves.
To ensure everyone gets a chance to experience the magic, The Beak and Barrel operates with a time limit of 45 minutes per guest. Similar to popular experiences like Oga’s Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, this structure helps maximize guest enjoyment and provides a bustling, lively atmosphere. Guests can savor their pirate-themed delights while mingling with fellow adventurers from around the world.
Every corner of the establishment is rich with thematic decor, telling tales of ghost ships and hidden treasures. The lounge’s interior design encapsulates the whimsical essence of piracy, featuring rustic wooden accents, treasure chests, and playful elements that transport guests to a different era. Adding another layer to the immersive experience is Rummy, an impressive animatronic parrot. This charming character moves about the venue at designated times, greeting guests with a friendly squawk. Rummy adds a lively touch, creating an engaging interaction that makes the experience even more memorable.
