6. When You Forget to Plan in Rest Time
Small kids need naps. Sometimes parents do too. (Or at least a little rest in the shade with a cool beverage, am I right?) On our last Disney Cruise, my husband and I planned to have our four year old twins breeze through their nap times in the name of making the most of our cruise. Why did we think that somehow the same preschoolers who still require naps every day at home would suddenly be OK without them in an overstimulated environment? It took us one day to come to our senses and realize that all of us had a better experience when they rested for an hour. Nap time for the win.
