8 Reasons Why Pandora - World of Avatar Has Made Animal Kingdom THE Place To Visit After Dark

Animal Kingdom Elephants

1. Kilimanjaro Safaris

The cornerstone attraction of the Animal Kingdom park, Kilimanjaro Safaris has always been a fun and somewhat bouncy expedition through the “African savanna”.  With the additional hours offered by the park, however, guests are now able to experience the safari ride in the dark.  This presents an amazing opportunity to observe the nocturnal behaviors of the animals.  The big cats, for example, which seem to spend most of their day slumbering in the Florida heat, are a lot more active and vocal after the sun goes down.  In fact, you’ll likely hear a surprising number of vocalizations from the animals during the evening hours.  Some additional lighting is provided by Disney to increase your odds of spotting the wildlife, but it doesn’t detract from the nighttime feel.  You’ll definitely want to experience the safari ride both during the day and at night.

The nighttime offerings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are fun and fantastic!  It is an amazing park after dark, and truly a must-do experience for any true Disney fanatic.
