4 – Palm Trees
The metallic palm trees in Tomorrowland offers a creative use of technology. The palm fronds themselves actually contain solar panels that collect the abundant sunlight and then stores the energy in the coconuts underneath. Once the sun goes down, the coconuts and trees emit a small amount of light to help light the area keeping in both with the theme of the land and celebrating the “tomorrow-ness” of the land!
