6 Biggest Expenses of a Walt Disney World Vacation

Disney Tickets

3. Tickets

Understanding the Disney ticket system requires a degree in mathematics from MIT, haha!  Seriously though, Disney offers multiple options for getting the tickets you need for your family.  Be aware, you can purchase your tickets ala carte or as part of a package with your hotel and dining.  Save money by purchasing only the options you need.  Disney tries to entice you to stay longer by lowering the price per day for longer visits.  A one day ticket runs about $100 a day per person!  On the other hand, a 7-day ticket costs less than $50 a day!  Other ticket options include the Disney waterparks and the ability to “park hop” from one park to another each day.  *Bonus tip: If you’re planning to do Disney 10 or more days in a year, consider purchasing an annual pass for at least one member of your family.  AP holders receive multiple discounts around Disney World.
