3. Voyage of the Little Mermaid (Animation Courtyard)
Be sure you have your sea legs as you head indoors at the Animation Courtyard to experience this 20-minute stage show. It is a re-telling of the story of The Little Mermaid in which Ariel, the youngest of King Triton’s daughters, falls in love with Prince Eric, and then is duped by the Sea Witch, Ursula, to give up her singing voice in exchange for being able to trade in her mermaid tail for a pair of legs so she can pursue her love. The story is told using live actors, extravagant puppets, black lights and video clips from the animated film. Sing along to your favorite songs from the soundtrack with the cast. You’ll want to sit in the center, if possible, and about midway back from the stage (or even a little further back) so you can see and enjoy special effects on the ceiling and walls of the theater.
