1. A Varied Experience for All Ages
Another great reason to visit Disney Water Parks is the fact that things are always changing! Summertime usually brings new parties and activities. For example, Typhoon Lagoon is hosting the all new H2O Glow Nights, an after-dark specially ticketed event with appearances by your favorite Toy Story pals. And Blizzard Beach is getting in on the Incredibles 2 action with new games, challenges, and character visits. In addition, Disney Water Parks are very family friendly, which is a rarity among their competitors. I know for a fact that at other Orlando water parks, my first graders could not ride even half of the slides, which would make for a pretty disappointing day for them. Disney Water Parks are fun for all, all the time!
Now, before you go to a Disney Water Park, remember that afternoon thunderstorms are common, especially in the summertime, and lifeguards will require you to evacuate when lightning is in the area. But the storms usually pass quickly, and don’t hinder your day much at all. We’ve found that a thunderstorm is a great time to grab a snack and let the crowds thin out before hitting the slides again. And if a majority of the day ends up stormy, Disney will offer a rain check for your ticket (they won’t do that for a small storm, though).
Have fun, beat the heat, and make some memories at Disney Water Parks!
