Outstanding Rides

Disney’s Animal Kingdom doesn’t have a lot of rides, but the ones they do have are some of the best that Disney has to offer.

Avatar Flight of Passage continues to be one of the most popular rides at Walt Disney World. Located in the magnificent land of Pandora, Guests enjoy a breathtaking flight on the back of a banshee as they soar around this beautiful world. This ride is fantastic and is truly one of a kind.

Kilimanjaro Safaris: another ride that is unique to Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Kilimanjaro Safaris. This ride is an authentic safari that takes Guests through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. This at least 18-minute ride gets Guests close to some of the gorgeous animals that make Disney’s Animal Kingdom home. This ride brings some of the world’s most amazing animals to Disney, from giraffes to rhinos and elephants.

Expedition Everest: If you are a coaster fan, Disney’s Animal Kingdom has one of the best rides for you. Expedition Everest is one of the more intense coasters in all of Disney. It goes backward, is partially dark, and has an epic drop. This is one of the most thrilling experiences in Walt Disney World. It also provides an amazing view if you can take it all in.

Dinosaur is a different type of thrill when compared to Expedition Everest. This ride takes Guests on a bumpy adventure as they track a specific dinosaur. This ride is extremely dark and has a lot of jump scares along the way.

Another reason why we think Guests should visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom during their Walt Disney World vacation because it offers the chance to relax and explore. A handful of trails allow Guests to walk slowly and discover all the hidden gems this beautiful Park offers.

Discovery Island Trail: this trail is located around the Tree of Life. It is one of our favorites in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We love exploring the unique Tree of Life and the outstanding views. This trail is highly relaxing and peaceful, making it a great escape.

Gorilla Falls Exploration: this trail is an excellent exploration of different animals. The main focus of this trail is the fantastic gorillas that make Disney’s Animal Kingdom home. We could watch these magnificent animals for hours.

Maharajah Jungle Trek: on this trail, Guests can see the beautiful tigers that make Disney’s Animal Kingdom home. They are stunning, and even though they aren’t as active as the gorillas, we still enjoy seeing them.

We love being able to explore these trails throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They provide such a unique experience that transforms Guests into a great wilderness.

Finding Nemo the Musical

Entertainment

Not only does Disney’s Animal Kingdom have thrilling attractions and unique trails for discovery, but there is also outstanding entertainment throughout the Park.

Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: the Big Blue and Beoynd bring Broadway-caliber shows to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Both shows retell these beloved stories magically using talented performers and special effects.

Festival of the Lion King has fantastic vocal talent, and the high-energy performers, such as the tumble monkeys, make this show entertaining for the whole family.

The puppets used to bring Finding Nemo to the stage are beautiful. Seeing Crush, Bruce, and other friends of Nemo come to the location always leaves us breathless.

Although Finding Nemo and Festival of the Lion King are two stage shows, there are numerous other performances throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom throughout the day. Take time to catch these extremely talented performers as they want to make this Disney Park so magical.
