2. Schedule FastPasses
If you're not taking advantage of Disney World's FastPass system to reserve access to select park attractions in advance, you're doing yourself a huge disservice. There's simply no more efficient way to ensure you get to experience all the rides and such on your wishlist.
You can make your party's FastPass selections up to 30 days in advance, unless you're staying on-site, in which case you get up to 60 days prior to check-in. The earlier you check openings, the better chance you have of getting the FastPasses that matter most to you. You can make up to three selections in advance for any one park on a given day, and once you've used those on that day, you can keep making individual selections (but only one at a time) until the park closes.
Bonus points if you make FastPasses for attractions that are close together, which will save you a lot of walking back and forth.
