5. Mango Tango—Joffrey’s Handcrafted Smoothies—Disney Springs
Of all the smoothies at Disney World, this is my absolute favorite. It’s made with passion fruit juice, pineapples, mango, papaya, coconut cream, and yogurt. It is so refreshing; a delight for the taste buds.
4. Fajita Platter—Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe’—Frontierland/Magic Kingdom
This “Old West” restaurant’s menu reflects the food you would find in a southwestern saloon. The Fajita Platter, my favorite is filled with spicy beef, seasoned chicken with yellow rice, beans, Fajita vegetables, and flour tortillas. You might want to sit a while and let your food settle before your next adveture.
3. Angus Onion Straw Cheddar Cheeseburger—Rosie’s All-American Cafe’—Hollywood Studios
If you’re in the mood for a good old American burger, try this one. It’s a 1/3 pound chargrilled Angus beef burger topped with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and fried onion straws on a Kaiser roll served with coleslaw or French fries. Open wide, and savor the deliciousness of this all-American cheeseburger.
2. Dole Whip—Aloha Isle—Adventureland/Magic Kingdom
One of the most popular frozen treats at Walt Disney World is the Dole Whip, which is a non-dairy frozen soft serve vanilla, pineapple or swirl served in a cup. It also comes in a float with pineapple juice and pineapple Dole Whip. Once you enjoy this delightfully refreshing treat, you will want to go back for more.
1. Popcorn
You will find popcorn carts throughout the four theme parks and water parks of Walt Disney World. Disney popcorn is the best-tasting popcorn in the world. One of the reasons it is so delicious is the fact that the kernels are popped in a combination of coconut, corn, and canola oil and are seasoned with kosher salt and butter, and since this salty snack is so popular, it’s always freshly popped, and is now available in a slightly sweet maple flavored version. Both the regular and maple-flavored popcorn can be purchased in a small box, a refillable bucket, or a character shaped souvenir bucket. It’s hot; it’s fresh, bursting with flavor, and available all over the “World”.
There you have it, my list of some of the most popular foods and beverages of Walt Disney World. These are just a “tip of the iceberg” of what’s in store for you at the “most magical place on earth”. The dining choices are also “magical”, and will satisfy every craving you have, whether salty, sweet, tangy, etc. As Julia Childs would say, “Bon Appetit”!
