6. Knight in Goofy Armor
Throughout his decorated career, Goofy has held a multitude of titles and occupations. He’s been everything from clock cleaner to rockstar, but many Goofy fans have one particular favorite. The Kingdom Hearts series was a match made in heaven between Disney and Square Enix of Final Fantasy fame that resulted in a huge fan following. The games put Goofy in a slightly serious role as captain of the royal knights of Disney Castle. Though he dons a uniform and shield, Goofy is still essentially his clumsy and silly self. Of the player’s party, Goofy is the comic relief to offset Donald’s grouchy pessimist. He serves as the defense, using his shield as his main weapon a la Captain America, and assists the main character, Sora, as they try to stop The Heartless from consuming the Disney worlds. Goofy is easily one of the most identifiable characters in the series and is certainly one of the most beloved. Even in the heat of battle, he can still bring a smile to fans everywhere.
