9. Extra Magic Hours

If you are staying on property, you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, which means that certain parks open early or stay open later each day for Disney resort guests. If you are staying off property, you might consider avoiding those parks as the crowds do tend to be bigger at the Extra Magic Hours park. No matter how you choose to plan around them, paying attention to Extra Magic Hours is important.

8. Dining reservations

You can make dining reservations 180 days prior to the date you are reserving. It is not necessary to have a ticket or a resort reservation to make dining reservations, so if you are even considering a trip it’s a good idea to make some reservations at that 180 day mark. Once you’ve picked your date and time for major dining reservations, you can build the rest of your itinerary around them.

7. FastPass reservations

You can make FastPass reservations 60 days prior to the start of your vacation with a Disney resort reservation, and 30 days prior without one. Think about which attractions are on your must-do list, and book those first. Remember to consider transportation time if you have dining reservations or other plans at a separate location from the park at which you are making FastPass reservations.
