5. Medicine Stock
While you obviously cannot carry the entire pharmacy with you on vacation, it does pay to pack a few essential over the counter medicines. I fill a small cosmetic bag with stomach medicines, pain relief medications, sinus soothers; band aids and skin creams just in case my family needs them on vacation. No one feels like running to a store to search for medication when they are feeling sick on vacation. Packing your own medicine stock will save you time and money.
