10 Things You Absolutely Must Do Before Your Walt Disney World Trip

Disney Tickets

4. Purchase Tickets

Obviously, tickets must be purchased before you and your family can enter the parks. Many people will wait until they arrive before they purchase tickets. However, we believe this to be a huge planning mistake, for a few reasons:

First, purchasing tickets at the gate is time-consuming. It requires waiting in line when you could be enjoying the parks. Considering the fact that your vacation time is already limited and precious, you certainly don't want to waste it standing in unnecessary lines.

Second, by ordering your tickets online through Orbitz or Undercover Tourist, it is highly likely you can save a few bucks. In fact, even the prices on the Disney World website are a bit cheaper than they are at the gate. That said, it is highly important that tickets are only ordered through a reputable source. Second-hand tickets and passes sold through sites like Ebay and Craigslist are likely a scam and should be avoided at all costs.

Finally, purchasing tickets in advance gives you earlier access to the FastPass+ reservation system. Considering how hard some FastPasses are to come by, this is a huge bonus for the online purchasing option.
