8. Not Dressing for Humidity
Despite the foliage, AK has and will always have a reputation for being the hottest park. To alleviate this, make sure you dress as comfortably as possible. This is the time to don shorter pants, lightweight shirts, and sun hats to protect yourself from the sweltering heat. (Pro Tip: Eating Mickey Ice Cream Bars and Dole Whips can also do wonders. Chow down!)
7. Not Seeing Characters
Since this park is dedicated to the preservation of Mother Earth and its inhabitants, you may think that character meet and greets would be hard to find. Not at all! AK features several rare and loveable characters including Dug and Russell, Pocahontas, Flik, and Mickey’s closest pals in Safari gear. The best part is, these lines tend to be shorter than any of the other parks! So pull out your camera and autograph book, and keep your eyes peeled for some familiar faces.
6. Not Taking Enough Pictures
Most visitors take at least 1,000+ pictures of Cinderella Castle, but some forget about the photogenic spots in AK! This is arguably WDW’s most beautiful park with the mammoth Tree of Life, floating mountains, and countless other serene, off-the-beaten trails spots. The details throughout the park are simply exquisite and should be captured forever. For photography enthusiasts especially, this is the time to set up shop and grab perfect sunset flicks over Expedition Everest.
