10 Myths Many People Believe About Walt Disney World

Pirates Of The Caribbean

6.  The myth of “George” and the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction

Supposedly, during the construction of this attraction, a worker named George, was killed.  Cast members have reported hearing footsteps, received mysterious phone calls to the control tower, and other paranormal events before and after the attraction’s opening and closing.  Cast Members have also stated that if they fail to say “Good Morning” and “Good Night” to George, the ride will break down.  My nephew worked on this attraction as part of the College Program, and he swears that on those days when he forgot to greet “George”, the ride did actually stop.  I would suggest, for the purpose of a smooth ride, wish “George” a ‘Good Morning or Good Night’.
