The horticulture crew is also nocturnal. Those beautiful topiaries don’t keep themselves looking proper! Because vegetation grows at an alarming rate in Florida, hours are spent each night making sure the grounds of Disney World are trimmed, pruned, fertilized, watered, and cleaned up. And of course, there are always seasonal plant changes to occupy the crew’s time as well, especially at the start and close of festivals in Epcot. Throughout Walt Disney World, horticulture cast members plant approximately 3 million annuals, 4 million shrubs, and 13,000 roses every year.
