3. Journey Into Imagination with Figment
A classic with a new twist, this fan favorite is a guided tour of the Imagination institute at Epcot’s Future World. Hosted by Dean Finder, portrayed by Eric Idle of Monty Python, we are given a grand tour of the institute’s imagination experiments. The tour is often interrupted by Epcot’s famous purple dragon, Figment, as he plays a few tricks and springs some surprises on his captive audience. It should also be noted the ride queue has a few interesting treats as well. References to famous Disney scientists as well as props from Disney sci-fi films such as Flubber and The Black Hole are also on display. Easily a first stop for this fan, the Imagination Institute should be the first spark that ignites everyone’s day at Epcot.
