5. Funnel Cakes
We go from one nutritional extreme to another, from protein to glorious carbs! It almost doesn’t get any more basic than funnel cakes, which are essentially made by drizzling batter into a deep fryer. And of course, you have to eat them with your favorite topping. Traditionally, that’s powdered sugar, but you can have yours topped with ice cream, chocolate, crushed cookies, strawberries, or whipped cream. Be sure to enjoy the next hour or two though, because the sugar crash that comes after that will be epic. That’s why it’s a good idea to share!
