The Force is Strong At Disney! 10 New Star Wars Attractions To Enjoy at Walt Disney World

With the creation of Star Wars Episode VIII, Disney has created an entire host of new experiences in Hollywood Studios. Here are nine of these amazing Star Wars attractions!

10. Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular

The Force truly awakens with this nighttime spectacular at Hollywood Studios. You’ll enjoy Star Wars music set to a stunning display of fireworks! The evening show begins with an announcement by a couple of storm troopers threatening the crowd with retribution unless they give up some traitors. Then the fun continues with a fireworks display which lasts about 10 minutes!

9. Troopers on patrol

First Order Stormtroopers march just outside of the Launch Bay, and patrol the sector for rebels. The troopers are fitted with the exact armor that can be found in “The Force Awakens.” They are more than compliant for taking photos, but keep in mind that they are wandering characters. Without a character attendant, photos are first come first serve, and guests will swarm these troopers.

8. Meeting Chewbacca

Once you are finished browsing amazing artifacts and memorabilia, you will enter the meet and greet center. Here you will come face to face with Han Solo’s furry friend, Chewbacca. This lovable Wookie is eager to take a picture with you and solidify your deal with the Rebel Alliance. As you wait on line to meet him, screens above will flash seemingly endless questions of Star Wars trivia to test your knowledge. Within the nearby display case, you will see the lightsabers of some famous Jedi. These weapons include those of Obi-Wan-Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, and Ezra Bridger the latest addition to the rebel cause.

7. Meet Darth Vader

Watch where you tread, rebel sympathizers. The Empire has stationed a private facility in which you will confront Darth Vader himself. The dark lord’s ominous presence and iconic breathing sets the tone for the brilliant atmosphere that Disney has created. Watch your words and be mindful of your feeling. Vader and his stern-faced officers will do all they can to convince you to join the Galactic Empire. As you await this meet and greet, you can observe the weapons of the Sith, including those of Darth Sidious, Darth Maul, and Dooku’s assassin, Asajj Ventress.

6. Jawa Traders

Utinni! Be on the lookout for Jawas! They have hitched a ride from their homeworld of Tatooine and to explore the new Launch Bay. With their brown cloaks and glowing eyes, these tiny scavengers are always eager to salvage whatever they can from you. They delight in trading and will accept almost any random item before exchanging it for something even more peculiar. You may even get droid parts as part of your trade. Always remember to greet these little guys with a cheerful “Utinni!”

5. Disney Infinity 3.0

The Launch Bay has an entire section devoted to the latest edition of Disney’s multi-platform videogame, Disney Infinity. Players can sample characters including Darth Maul, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, Zeb, Kanan, Sabine, and Ezra. They can use these characters to explore, battle, and race their way through a sample minigames.

4. Merchandise

The Launch Bay is stacked with countless toys from the new movie, including a remote-controlled BB-8 droid. D-tech also has a station where you can customize phone cases and Magic Bands with your favorite Star Wars characters. On the other side are lightsaber umbrellas and several rare portraits signed by celebrities. Launch Bay also has several authentic costumes on display, and sell custom versions for those willing to purchase.

3. Path of the Jedi

Located within the theater directly across from Star Tours, you can watch a ten-minute movie which highlights the entire Star Wars Saga. From the stoic beginnings of the Jedi Order, watch as its members fight to preserve peace in the Galactic Republic. Recount the fall of Anakin Skywalker and the rise of Darth Vader. Join Luke Skywalker and his rebel friends in the great battle to defeat the empire. Finally, get a pulse-pounding glimpse of the upcoming, highly anticipated seventh film. The Force is strong with this one.

2. Trials of the Temple

An entirely new adventure awaits the younglings of the Jedi Order. Children can now join Master Vanzell and his apprentice, Nedriss, as they embark on a journey into an ancient temple. Within it, they will lock lightsabers against Darth Vader and his nefarious inquisitor, the Seventh Sister!

1. Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

The famous flight simulator now has an exciting addition to the ride. The adventure now features an exclusive section from “The Force Awakens” and will whisk travelers to the desert planet of Jakku. Guests will meet the new characters, including Finn and the rolling droid, BB-8.
