Grown Up Guide to Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 5 Things You Must Do

Disney was designed to be for all ages, for the young and the young at heart. That’s why it comes as no surprise when you see groups of adults walking around the park together having a good time. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a great park for grown ups to escape to as there is plenty of ‘adult’ things to partake in. Here are five must do’s for grownups at Hollywood Studios:

5. Toy Story Midway Mania

Many adults have a competitive side and this game is perfect if you’ve got one! Challenge your friends in several arcade style games hosted by your favorite characters from Toy Story and see who comes out on top. A little friendly competition never hurt anyone!

4. Star Wars

Even though Star Wars land is a few years away, there is no shortage of the famous franchise in the park. Head over to Launch Bay and meet some characters from the movies, or stick by the stage in front of the Chinese Theatre to see the March of the First Order. You can head over to Star Tours and board a Starspeeder that will take you to a galaxy far, far away and end your night with a Star Wars themed spectacular in the sky. If you grew up loving Star Wars, this will be a great experience for you.

3. Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster

As far as ‘grown up’ rides go, this is one of the best. This indoor roller coaster set to Aerosmith music and featuring loops and insane speed is a must do during your time at Hollywood Studios. You and your friends will laugh at your faces in your ride photo when you exit because that 0 to 55mph is no joke!

2. Tower of Terror

Everyone loves a good drop tower, especially grownups. This one is even more unique because the theming is creepy and the drop sequence is randomized so no two rides are ever the same. Take a trip to the twilight zone scary enough to scare even the toughest grownup and pray that you make it back!

1. The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge

No grownup trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is complete without some adult drinks! Take a seat at the lounge outside of the Hollywood Brown Derby and take your pick from a list of wines, beers and other alcoholic beverages. If you’re feeling it, there’s also a delicious margarita flight that I personally enjoy and it includes three different kinds for your tasting pleasure.

I never went to Disney as a child, but I have enjoyed every single trip as an adult. From thrilling rides to being able to enjoy an alcoholic beverage, or two, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has it all. Being a grownup doesn’t have to mean not having fun—in fact, at Disney, it’s the exact opposite!
