Adventureland and Liberty Square – 12 Reasons Why These Are 2 Of Our Favorite Areas of Magic Kingdom

Jungle Cruise

4. Jungle Cruise

Jungle Cruise has come a long way from its origins in Walt Disney’s mind as an attraction that would contain live animals.  That concept evolved into a more serious attraction with audio-animatronics and a spiel inspired by the Disney True-Life Adventures – a series of short nature documentaries.  From there, the theme of the ride evolved again (or maybe devolved is a better word!) into the campy, pun-filled attraction that is found at Magic Kingdom today.  While the best description for the Jungle Cruise may be “it’s so bad it’s good,” it’s really the skipper in each boat that either makes or breaks the experience for guests.  Nonetheless, it remains a favorite for many visitors to the park.  With an update based around the Jungle Cruise movie on deck, another evolution of the ride could bring even more fans into Adventureland.
