Now, anyone with half a brain can guess that the summer months are pretty hoppin’ at Disney World. Kids are out of school, which means families are taking vacations left and right. However, in mid-August this pattern comes to an abrupt halt as all the young boys and girls head back to school and leave the parks to those who can manage to take some time off work.
For this reason, August is a fabulous time to visit in terms of crowds. Unfortunately, it isn’t so great when it comes to weather. August is peak hurricane season, and the weather is unbearably hot during this time. Therefore, this block of time ranks lowest on our list.

Those, my friends, are the five best times of the year to pay our pal Mickey a visit. However, before we go, we’d like to leave you with one last tip on crowd avoidance. No matter when you visit the parks, it is best to arrive 30–45 minutes before opening, leave in the afternoon for a break, and return for nighttime fun. This is because the highest crowd levels are during the middle of the day. Meanwhile, there are far fewer people in the parks during the first 2 hours and last 2 hours of the day.
